I'm guessing the projector exploded, so they had to get an intern to go out into the city to get a non-Samsung projector.

Jokes aside: what's the point of holding all these live presentations when articles have been written by the tech media beforehand?

Having early PRs helps us from having to write it up during the event and racing to be first. Mind you, we only got them 60 mins before the event. Quite often a few nuggets are in the press event only, but the press event is the precursor to having a hands-on. It's like an exchange program - sit through the presentation, think of questions, then go ask them with a hands-on with the device. That's when we write our hands on. :)

Though some companies raise the embargo mid-presentation, or end-presentation. It's rare to get an embargo time of when the presentation starts.

Fair enough. It just looked like multiple outlets had articles up before all the presentations which made me wonder and it seemed to make watching the actual presentations somewhat redundant as you'd get all the details in a condensed format instead of spending hours on presentations. It's the first time I've noticed the articles be up so early. I appreciate the expediency though. It's a good format for all parties I suppose including readers.

I think it's new. Same thing happened with AMD at GDC yesterday. Embargo was lifted at presentation start, not end.

Yes the ADroid device is so boring and useless.

Now the windows 10 device is very interesting and has an OS that is actually useful.

With the New 27" pen enabled RealSense AIO's coming out I was hoping Samsung would come out with an AMOLED/HDR10 version for some Zbrush Maya pressure sensitive/color accuracy heaven.

As expensive as the Microsoft is Not being able to upgrade the GPU and just knowing that HDR10 linear accuracy is here now... It just seems like throwing money in the toilet.

Hmmm I missed the part where the Tablet was both AMOLED AND HDR...
hoping that includes the 12" windows version.

As much as I am loving the the new large pressure sensitive 27" realsense aio size real estate for old school traditional art gestural skills that promote using one's shoulder n elbow into one's stroke rather than the timid carpal inducing wrist motion that small form factors promote ( reinforcing what Art College use teach back in the day was definitely a bad habit )

But if the Windows 12" Tablet has HDR to and that is WCG 10 bit HDR along with that AMOLED screen's true black contrast ratio sharpness and dark drama then I have definitely found my "portable solution!"

For pressure sensitive color accurate portable sketching in PS and Zbrush that is!

( and why Android will Always be a toy as far as productivity is concerned )

If the price differentiation between the two is like $1000+ then the AMOLED Android tablet is pretty good alternative to anything else.

I'd have been interested in an 8" Tab S3, but it looks like they've abandoned that size entirely.

"A protestor was just asked to get off the stage."

Good, but not nearly enough of the weird. It`s Samsung, there should be flying midgets or something!

I have found new respect for journalists who sat through this horrible presentation. So bad..

    This is so hilariously understated.

They should have done a better job in showing off the new pen tilt feature.
