Any guess on who will carry the phone? Sprint??

The Optimus One is available on Sprint, Verizon, TMobile, and US Cellular, so hopefully this sees service on a bunch of carriers as well.

I hope it's on Sprint with 4G. I want something that's not an EVO and doesn't have a physical keyboard.

Competition is going to go crazy in the smartphone world. I love it. I'd go with this instead of apple's next offering. Hopefully Att carries this one, I'm considering it.

personally, im more concerned about the density of a screens resolution, than how bright it is. and im fairly sure im in a minority where turning down the brightness most of the way, if not all the way, is more preferable, than being uncomfortably 'blinded'. to each their own though.

Density? Why do you care about density? It's pixel count that matters. I bet you would prefer a 4" 800x4800 than a 1" 480x320.

Pixel count by itself means nothing. I'd much rather have a 4" 1920x1080 screen than a 4" 720x480 screen.

No thank you. Before I bought my Samsung Fascinate, my LG enV touch was a piece of garbage. My friends and family have had similar experiences with LG; I haven't heard anything positive about the company. Poor quality components and terrible support.

My LG dishwasher and microwave are pretty solid. :P

Played with some of their lower end Optimus phones and they seemed pretty solid, but hard to really tell with a few minutes on hands on time.

None of this is impressive if the phone only lasts 8-10 hours (e.g. HTC Incredible).

Why no stats on battery life from the manufacturers?

I have the Optimus S from sprint and I have to say i really like it. I started with LG Fusic then a BlackBerry, then a Pixi, then a Hero and now back to LG with the optimus. I have to say the fusic and pixi were honestly my favorite for day to day use, but the androided phones cant be beat for functionality. the Hero seemed to operate a tad bit faster for some reason, but the optimus is the technically superior phone spec wise and it plays angry birds just fine. :) I would love to switch up to this phone. I just wish they start releasing all these phones with both GSM and CDMA built in and make them carrier independent.
